Default I replaced an igniter now nothing on the stove top works
Model Number: CGR1420BDW   Brand: Magic Chef   Age: More than 10 years

I replaced one igniter on the stove top because it wasn't giving a good spark. All the other burners were working fine and the one I replaced would light on its own once in a while. I put a new igniter on the front left burner and it did work at first. Now none of the burners click when try to light them, so now it seems like an electrical problem. When one knob is turned to light all four burners spark when the stove did work properly.

Hi.

Check the burner switches for a short, then check the wire harness between the switches and spark module.If everything checks out OK - replace the spark module most likely located behind the drawer on the right side.

The igniters started sparking again without me doing anything. I don't know why. If the problem happens again I'll look into the spark module.
