I used the self-cleaning feature of my double oven, then had to cancel half-way through the process. The panel read "hot" and the door would not release (I think this is normal). Then after the oven cooled, the panel went completely blank and the door remained locked. I had to open the panel area and push back the post that keeps the lock secured to open the oven. (So this is no longer a problem....yet)

Unfortunately my panel is still not working, nor is the oven. I did some research and figured it was the thermal fuse. There are three thermal fuses on this oven, two in back (one for the top oven, and one for the bottom oven), and one on top near the control panel. The one on top is the easiest to get to, so I removed it and had it tested. It tested bad, so I figured I'd need to replace that one. I was told that the replacement part for the TOP fuse is 4451042. (This looks quite different from the fuses on the back of the oven.) When I went to install the replacement part, one end does not fit the connection. Both ends of the connections are the same size, and the replacement fuse ends are different sizes, so the one end does not fit.

I cannot find a part number anywhere, nor does any diagram show the top thermal fuse for this oven, so I don't have a correct part number.

Can you help me locate a correct part or do you have any other suggestions on how to fix this?
