no power to broiler igniter
Model Number: erd30 Brand: Dacor Age: 5 - 10 years
My broiler igniter would not glow so i figured it was bad. Ordered a new one and replaced it today but still would not glow so I tested the wires feeding it and only had like 7 volts AC. Where would be the next place to test to see what the problem is.

Help Please
I sure could use a little help on where to test next. My oven has been torn apart for days now and the wife is getting upset and I am starting to starve....LOL. Please some direction on where to look next sure would be great. Thanks in advance for your time to help me on this.

fixed it myself
Since I got so much help here on where to look next. I spent the day on the internet and found some help after a few tests on the circuit board I found that i needed to check the HTC (High Temp Cutout) which is located behind the panel covering the oven door lock. Pushed the red reset switch and it went "CLICK" and low and behold the broiler igniter now started to glow and then the gas turned on and happy happy I have a broiler.
Hope this post will help other people with similar problem very easy fix if you know where to look next.
