Default Help,Oven went totally out
Model Number: RBD275PDB15   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com
27" Electric Built-In Double Oven Whirlpool
Oven a little over 5 years old.

Oven was not even running but we heard it beep 3-4 times. After realizing it was the oven that beeped, we looked at it and noticed the clock was not even working. The only thing that will come on is the light inside the oven. When you hit a button it simply beeps. Strangest thing is the oven was not even on when this happen and we had not even used it that day. Hoping this is an easy fix ?

Default Screen blank only beeps

And would like to add..even though this oven is a little over 5 years old. The usage on it has been no more than once a week over the 5 years so very very little use.

Have you tried removing power (flip the breaker off) for a couple minutes to see if it will reset?

We were not positive which breaker actually went to oven as none appeared tripped. But we turned each one of them off and back on. Now we did not wait any time- we just flipped off then back on. ? Thank you for trying to help. I cannot imagine anything going out as this oven has not been used very much!

The breaker for your oven should be a dual breaker.
Sometimes it is two breakers with a rod that connects the two breakers together.

I cannot imagine anything going out as this oven has not been used very much!
Things break, that is just the way it is.

Your problem may be an electronic part on the control board.
Low usage of a device in this case is a bad thing.
A certain number of electronic devices will fail within certain time periods this percentage drops as time goes on so you are better off using the device so that the odds are higher that t will fail during warranty.

Then after several years the failure rate again starts to increase.

The dual breaker is in the electrical box for the house.

It may not be bad, it may just need resetting.

Thank you. We have not touched the oven but this morning it is showing the following on the front screen normally where the clock is on:
E6 F2 then it has a small lock symbol

Is this familiar to you?
