Model Number: LWS3081ST Brand: -other- Age: 1 - 5 years
I have an LG wall oven showing an F9 code (oven not heating) any ideas as to what is wrong? I need parts manual and wiring schematic but I suppose that is hard to get. Internet search yielded one answer that on there oven it was the thermostat. They replaced it and it worked a while and the thermostat went out again. The parts diagram on this website show two thermostats. Also should I replace the thermistor? I am mechanically inclined and should be able to do the repairs myself, I think.

Hello,
The problem can be a bad oven sensor, aka a thermistor (#5021 at the diagram), a bad safety thermostat (#5116 and #5117 at the diagram), a bad Bake heating element (#5514 at the diagram) or a bad main control board (#2006 at the diagram). Check the thermistor, the safety thermostats and the heating element for continuity. The normal readings are: The thermistor - 1100 Ohms @ 77°F; The safety thermostats - 0 Ohms; The Bake heating element - 22 Ohms. If all of the above parts check OK, replace the main control board. - The thermistor Part number: 6322B62214A - The safety thermostat 5116 - Part number: 6930W1A003X - The safety thermostat 5117 - Part number: EBG51439301 - The Bake heating element Part number: MEE41716501 - The main control board Part number: EBR43296802 Here are the breakdown diagrams and Parts for LG LWS3081ST - AppliancePartsPros.com Gene.
