Model Number: CVE3401B Brand: Jenn-Air Age: 5 - 10 years
I have purchased a 12002125, which is a dual switch and am trying to install it on my Jenn Air CVE3401B cooktop. We followed the instructions that came with the part and separated the double red wire and inserted the jumper. Now when we switch it on, the indicator light came up but the burner is not heating up.
Now the burner we are trying to install the switch to is the right rear one, the small single burner on the right. The power comes first to the switch of the right front burner (which is a dual burner), which has all the yellow wire, one double red wire and one single red wire. However, the old switch for the right rear burner only has one double red wire and no yellow wire. We did put the jumper in according to the instructions. Can someone help us and see which wire should be connected differently (if that is the case) for a single burner. I saw a similar posting on the forum that says that he could only get the indicator light to come on but not the burner. He also said that when he switched some connection, he could get the burner on but not the indicator light. Finally, he go help and set the connections right, but he did not mention how.
