Default oven over heating
Model Number: gbs307prb01   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years

my wall oven gets error code e2f3, when bake is pressed it heats up for a while then switches to broil and locks up. i have replaced heat sensor but issue continues wht else could it be?

was doing some research while waiting for reply, i came accross the thermostat. is it possible the thermostat could have gone bad....i have had this replaced a couple of years ago

I am not sure I know what you mean by thermostat?

Also I assumed that when you said " heat sensor" that you were referring to the oven sensor.

yes i did replace heat sensor inside the oven, but there is a thermostat in back of the unit as well just wondering if this could also be the problem

The thermal overload (thermal fuse) would kill power to the oven elements not lock up the control.
