Model Number: RGB790SEHASA Brand: Hotpoint Age: 5 - 10 years
The gas oven would not light, broiler and range work fine. The igniter was in pieces so I figured that had to be it and replaced it. The igniter still does not glow. I checked for continuity in the new igniter and got 0 ohms, so the igniter is probably fine. There is a 3 wire electrical connection to the igniter/gas valve assembly that I checked for power and when I set the oven to come on, there is 120 volts to the connector. So, what else could it be? Thermistat? Gas valve? and how do I check?
