stove eyes too hot

Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

Why can I not control the stove eye? We just replace the recepticle and the eye. Now it is on high and fire-red no matter what number I turn it on.

Usually when an element cannot be controlled it is the infinite switch that is the problem.
