My Bosch cooktop stopped working. We were in the middle of cooking and the display started flashing E r 22. It is a model HES245U with the mTwist dial. About a month ago, the burner sizing selector stopped responding. I can't find what the code Er 22 indicates anywhere. Does anyone know and is this something that can easily be repaired on a DIY basis. Thanks for your assistance.

Hello,

The error code you posted is not listed anywhere. There is the error code "Error" for the oven which means oven overheating. If that's true then the problem is a bad oven power relay board.

This part has been discontinued. Bosch probably replaced it with a different part but I was not able to find the correct part number. You can talk to APP CSR and they will help you to locate the correct part.

Thanks Gene. I spoke to Bosch customer service and was told that the error indicates that the stove is not able to sense the touch pad. I had tried their suggestion of turning off the circuit breaker for 30 minutes to reset the stove, but the error recurred. Looks like I need to have someone our to the house.

This is probably the best decision in such situation. Especially when you deal with such sophisticated appliance. Keep us posted.
