We purchased our house two years ago and about six months ago something strange started happening with our stove. I cook on our stove every day using copper bottom pots or cast iron. I also line the drip pans with foil, if that makes a difference. I can't think of anything happening differently since this problem started.
The burner that I use the most has two odd characteristics:
1) The element mysteriously bends out of shape to a point that I have to use pliers to realign it or buy a new one
2) The foil liner burns through, turning aluminum almost to ash
My fear is that there is an electrical malfunction causing this. My husband thinks the kids come in at night and climb up on the stove
Has anyone seen this?
