Model Number: 9117137911 Brand: Kenmore Age: More than 10 years
After turning off both the gas and the electric to the stove, I replaced the oven/broiler ignitor and turned both gas & electric back on. The ignitor now works just fine and the oven and broiler heat up good as new, but now there is a definite gas odor coming from the ignitor area when the oven is turned off. It's as if the gas valve might be stuck open? Logically, it would seem the valve needs replacing but am I missing something?
