The glass on my bottom oven was broken. I ordered a new door panel with glass and it has clear glass rather than small black lines running through it like the upper oven. The edges of the panel do not wrap around as far as the existing outer panel. I chatted with some one on line at this site and they said that the part I had order had been subbed in with a newer part that would work and that the manufacturer no longer produces on exactly like my other door.

Being a double oven I would like to match the upper door. I will check around to see if anyone has an older part but I was wondering could I remove the glass from the new door panel and just replace the glass? Will the foil heat tape be sufficient or is there some sort of adhesive used? Or better yet if I am just taking the glass from the new part could I have a piece of tempered glass cut to fit and save the cost of a whole new door panel?
