Model Number: PLES389DCB Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years
Oven will not heat up -- electronic display works fine. No power outages since July, oven worked fine Wednesday night and tried to preheat on Friday night and seems that it had slight heat but then something quit and turned off. Is there something else besides the electronic control board that could be wrong?

Here are your parts
Parts for Frigidaire PLES389DCB Range - AppliancePartsPros.com Here is the wiring diagram http://manuals.frigidaire.com/prodin.../318045090.pdf You did not sat but do the stove top elements work OK. If they do then does the oven stay in preheat or does it show that it is ready. if it shows ready then look at the oven sensor. Note that there is a thermal breaker in the temperature probe circuit. If it opens the unit will think it is at a very high temperature and it may shut itself down. If it stays in preheat odds are it is the control board though I would check the wiring to the control board and elements first.

Thanks for your reply! The stovetop is working as usual. The preheating mode on the display is just staying on preheat. The warmer unit on the bottom drawer does not work. Both elements in the oven are both not working.

So you think it is the control board but to check wiring to the control board!

Yes it does sound like the control board.
It controls both the oven elements and the warmer drawer element but they will be separate circuits on the board so my guess is that the board electronics have a problem. Also it stays in preheat so the board thinks it should be heating up the elements but for some reason will not do this.
