Model Number: GR556LRKS0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
While simply using the cook top it occasionally displays E4 F3, nothing seems to be malfunctioning and if I hit stop/cancel it clears. With Thanksgiving close I fear it will fail when I use the oven since the code indicates an oven issue. I am experienced at fixing many things and have a multimeter to check components. I wonder if you have diagrams for accessing the parts I need to test. I hate breaking stuff when it is not obvious how to remove covers etc. Per other posts I see that a sensor may be bad or have a bad connection. Thank You in advance for any helpful advice.

Per the illustration there were no exposed wires, I had to take a cover off the back (plug pulled of course). Then nothing looked like the demo but I saw two wires that the plastic insulator was crispy critters. I figured that was from making a poor contact so pulled them off and I squeezed both with a pair of pliers and slipped them on and off several times to burnish the contact surface and by golly it seems to be fixed. If nothing else the grungy floor under the range is now clean...
