Oven won't heat up but broiler works fine
Model Number: CWE5800ACB Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
The upper oven on my double wall oven has not heated properly since we lost power during Hurricane Sandy. The oven was on when the power blew out. The upper oven has a digital control panel. The broiler works fine, but when I set the oven to heat up on bake, it takes forever, and won't get above 250 degrees. The lower oven is fine. It has a dial control.
We think it is the bake element that needs to be replaced. Is that the likely cause? Or is there something else that might have happened? Thanks. Ads By Google Related Models

Hello,
You will need a simple multimeter to check the Bake heating element for continuity. Replace it if there is no continuity.
