Jenn air stove problem
Model Number: JES9800AAB Brand: Jenn-Air Age: 1 - 5 years
Hi all.
I'm a complete novice at appliance repair but I do have a bit of electronic experience so I really need some advice. I had a short in the main power line to the house which resulted in 240v being put on all the appliances. The stove is completely dead. I've had a poke around inside with a voltage detector and I have 115v all the way to the control board. I've seen one on a site for $261. My questions are: 1. Is it likely that the control board is actually blown? 2. Is $261 a good price? 3. Is there anything else I should check before jumping in and ordering a new board?
