No broiler in bottom oven. Ge Trutemp.
Model Number: JKP45W)A2WW Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
The bottom oven broiler is not working on my GE TruTemp. I believe I remember this happening on the top oven about 4 or 5 years ago, and I recall the technician said it was caused by an over temp, and simply required a reset. I tried to take the oven out of the wall, but it comes out as 1 whole unit and is very heavy. Is there some dolly or something I can put underneath it when I slide it out or is there a way to remove just the lower oven part and not the whole double oven structure?

Hi.
Turn the power off and pull out as much as possible the broil element in question. Remove one wire off the contact and using the multimeter check the continuity of the element.
