Whirlpool Built-In Minute Timer not setting

Whirlpool Built-In Minute Timer not setting

Model Number: RBS275PD Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years

When I hit the Timer Set Pad I can change the clock time. I cannot get the timer to set????
