Model Number: TEO356BHW2 Brand: Tappan Age: More than 10 years
Have a problem with rear 8" element. Replaced it three times this year. When turned on it eventually smells like plastic burning, and after a few more uses the wires arc out and the burner doesn't work (obviously). The only time we use this burner is for boiling chicken parts. The pot is 10" dia and holds about 2 1/2 gal of water. Was told that pot is too big for burner but this does not make sense. Connection is not getting wet and burner control checks out good. Any help is appreciated as its expensive to keep replacing this burner.
