Whirlpool Electric Oven too hot
Model Number: RB270PXBQ2 Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
No error codes. Top oven lower heat element stays on regardless of setting. I put a temp gage in and the top element shut off when temp was reached but the bottom element stays on. Lower element comes on even if I BROIL. I checked temp gage continuity OK. Is this a problem with the control panel or the heat element and how can I test this?? Thanks.

Hi.
The problem is a shorted relay inside the control board. Unfortunately the board is no longer available. You can contact the manufacturer for the rebuilding option. Simon.
