Hello:
Our kitchen aid built in cooktop dual burner stopped working. How do I know if it is a burner issue or a switch issue?

Can I replace these myself? Any helpful links that I can refer to?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Here are your parts
Parts for Whirlpool KECC502GBT0 Cooktop - AppliancePartsPros.com

See the attachment for the wiring diagram

I would check the burner with a meter.
Then if it measures OK replace the control.

Be sure to remove power from the unit before working on it.
Also a limiter is built into the burner so you must be sure to include that when checking the elements.
You should be able to replace the part yourself.
If ypu click on the picture of the part at AppliancePartsPros a new page will open, often with a Q&A section that may be useful to you.
