My stove/oven is about 12 years old. In the past 3 to 6 months it quit staying on. I would go in the kitchen to preheat the oven to temperature to cook something, and within a few to minutes it would turn off. So I would go turn it on again and it would do it again and again and again. So I finally gave up on it. I would like to fix it but once again I don't know how much it would cost, cause I don't know what's wrong. Some say it could be the thermostat or the keypad thingy on top where you tun it on. Can you help with this issue, too?

are there any error codes ,what does the display show when you start it up +and when it shuts down

There are no error codes, you just set it for the temperature you want and then it says pre, like for preheating the oven and it it'll stay on for a few seconds to maybe 10 min., and then just shuts off. The red numbers and letters that are there when it's on just disappear or shut off, and the oven off again, too. The time stays on there.
