Oven sometimes works fine (a rarity these days), sometimes wont start, mostly works for awhile, then doesn't come on again to maintain temperature. Broiler and stovetop work fine.
I took off the bottom panels and set the thermostat to 350. The warm-up indicator light came on, and the igniter lit and glowed brightly (took 20-30 seconds to get to full brightness). After 3 minutes no gas ever emitted from the burner.
A higher temperature set had same results.

The broiler igniter got bright at about the same pace, and the gas came on after 45 sec. from the time it first was turned on.

Hi Ken,

The problem is a bad Bake igniter. The current drawn by the igniter is not enough to open the gas valve.
