Model Number: JP326C0V2BC Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
Our GE stovetop won't shut off. The burners turn off, and can be turned back on, but the indicator-light stays on all the time. How do I fix it?

If this is the case the only thing you can do is replace the switch. One way you can find out which one is to disconnect or shut off the power to the range, then disconnect the wire on each switch marked "P" then turn on the power. Make sure that all switches remain turned off during this process. Repeat this process to each switch until the light goes out. The one that kills the light is the one that needs replaced. |

Glen - Thank you for replying. I was about to give up -- then I put the second post on the problem and changed the title. I will try it and let you know -- incidentally thus letting anyone else who encounters a similar problem also learn the solution. Thanks again, and watch for my posting of the result!
