oven overshoots temperature by alot...

I am having trouble with my oven. It seems as thought the heating element never goes off. No matter what temperature I set it to it usually goes to about 600*. Great to cook pizza in, but not so great for cookies! Anyone have any suggestions? I thought it may be a bad thermostat but I was hoping someone smarter than me could help before I just buy parts. Thanks!

Yep that did the trick. Got the part and installed it today, very easy and strait forward. Turned the oven to 350* and clicked off. No more pizza oven for me lol.

Thank you very much!
