Oven Repair (including Ranges and Cooktops)

I Have a wall oven that occasionally turns on. When it doesn't go on I open the broiler door and close it HARD and then the burner turns on instantlly. I think it might be the safety valve. Can anyone help me?

Hi.

I'd first check the amp draw of the igniter. The normal reading should be 3.25Amp. If it's less then 3.2Amp - replace the igniter Part number: 318177710

If you have 3.2Amp most likely it's the gas valve Part number: 5303210156
