I have clipped the built-in wire on a temperature probe in my wall oven because it doesn't work and was always in the way. Now, it sparks. How can I disconnect the whole wire inside the oven, or can I somehow cap the bare wire? thanks much!

I am assuming you mean the meat temperature probe and not the oven sensor.

As far as I know thge probe should unplug.

Thank you. Yes, I am referring to the meat temperature probe. Mine is actually built into the wall of the oven (no plug)...any suggestions on how to disconnect from inside the wall of the oven? thanks.

Only thing I can think of is to pull the oven and disconnect it .
There may be an easier way but I do not know it
Hopefully someone else with this knowledge will jump in and help

Sorry i could not be more helpful.

I do think I'll have to figure out how to pull it away from the wall. Thanks for taking the time to respond!
