Up/Down switch cover for Amana Vent Hood
Model Number: DDV30E1 Brand: Amana Age: More than 10 years
I have a question concerning the correct part for my black Amana Down-draft hood. The rubber switch cover located on the top of the exhaust chimney is ruptured although the switch assembly still works. (i.e. I can depress the round clear plastic cylinder switch and have the hood raise and lower.) I would like to replace the black rubber finger-touch pad on top of this assembly. I am not sure if this rubber switch cover pad is a part of the switch assembly or a part of the top of the exhaust chimney. Which part do I need to order? I am not sure if the switch assembly (listed as part #5) contains the rubber switch cover. If the part is not available, any suggestion to correct this would be greatly appreciated. (I have even thought of using black electrical tape to cover the top of the ruptured switch pad.)
