HELP!

My rental has a Frigidaire range (FGF316BSB) and my tenant reported that it doesn't get hot enough. When I first investigated, I noticed that it wasn't heating-up all the way and replaced the oven thermostat. I thought that fixed the problem, but actually, the tenant just forgot to tell me it didn't me until she needed to bake a birthday cake. She then also informed me that it heats up to the desired temperature, but doesn't maintain the temperature throughout her baking time.

Today, I looked in to the problem again and I note that the oven ignitor comes on and gets red hot for up to about 3-5 minutes before the oven actually lights. This got me to thinking that perhaps the problem is the oven safety valve (part #3203459) in that it heats-up the oven to the desired temp, but then doesn't come back on quick enough to keep the oven at the proper temp through the baking cycle.

Before I sink more money in to it, I was wondering if anyone can give me some tips on how to test my theory or other components and any other advice.

The problem is a bad (weak) oven igniter.

Thanks Gene...I just ordered the part from AppliancePartspros...Once again, I appreciate your help. btw: I tested it with my ohm's meter and was getting readings of about 2.5 volts. --Kevin

Very often oven igniter can be bad even if it does glow.
