Pot over-flowed, cooktop made 2 popping sounds
Model Number: JEC8430ADS Brand: Jenn-Air Age: 5 - 10 years
Hey guys, first post. I could use your help. my wife was boiling two pots on teh glasstop Jenn-Air Model JEC8430ADS stove. One of the pots decided to overflow, then there was a flash and a loud POP... minute goes by and Flash POP, does it again. I cut the power to it from the breaker and took off the 4 dials on the top. I noticed water WAS around the rubber around the knobs/dials, but just a bit.
Could it be the water shorted something out? It doesn't look like it's got too many parts. Hi.
Most likely the couple of the infinite switches are shorted out. To determine which one restore the power and turn them on one by one. Simon.
