Oven Repair (including Ranges and Cooktops)

I have a KGST307HWH9 slide in that works fine, but the display lights were dimming and have now completely disappeared. Everything else works fine.

I have looked at replacement parts and I am stunned at the cost. First of all, I believe I need the 9782455 part. Am I right with this assumption?
At a price of almost $300 should I even bother for a stove that is about 10 years old?

Is there a fuse or something smaller to replace here or does the whole control board need to be replaced.

Most likely it's the control board Part number: 9782435

Check around the prices on the new ranges after that you can decide.
