Model Number: B59Fn-5TVW   Brand: Magic Chef   Age: More than 10 years   

Replaced bake element which led to F4 error. Replaced temp sensor but still F4. Any thoughts?

The "F4" error code means the control board senses the oven temperature sensor is shorted.

The first thing I would do is check for continuity the oven sensor at the control board. The normal oven sensor resistance at the room temperature suppose to be about 1100 Ohms.

If the reading is correct - replace the control board.

If the reading is wrong then measure the oven sensor resistance at the sensor plug.

If the reading is wrong - replace the oven sensor.

If the readings correct then the problem is the wire harness.

- The part number for the control board is AP382905

- The part number for the oven temperature sensor is AP204836

- The part number for the oven sensor harness is AP308592
