Jenn Air gas igniters click when all valves are off
Model Number: JGS8860BDP17 Brand: Jenn-Air Age: 1 - 5 years
Please give advice:
The igniters on my Jenn Air burners are igniting whether the burner valves are in the on position or not. The only way to stop them is to disconnect the power. I am inclined to think it is one of the burner switches stuck in the closed position or shorted out. I have been told it is more likely the igniter, which doesn't make sense to me if the switches/ valves are in the open/off position unless the switches are control circuit switches and power to the module is on all of the time.
