Hello all....

I have a Maytag gas range that has decided it was tired. Specifically, the oven. When I turn the oven knob, I see the "orange glow" that tricks you into thinking all is well... until you realize it's not heating. I tried the broiler and that works. I would be happy if I were going to broil everything into oblivion! The stove top works. I need assistance with what the specific problem is and what part I would need to order. SN# 13122468AR. Your assistance is GREATLY appreciated.

Hi Maureen,

Most likely the problem is a bad oven igniter. It can be bad even if it does glow.
