Model Number: Accubake Super capacity 465 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
I start the oven at the desired temp, it reaches it, but wll not maintain it for the needed time especially with 350 to 375 degrees. Any suggestions?

A model number may help others help you.
You specifically list "350 to 375 degrees" so does it maintain temperatures higher than this? Does the time to reach the set point temperature seem the same as it used to? Do both elements work? Most units switch back and forth between the elements during pre-heat and bake modes. This gives a quicker pre-heat and also maintains a more even temperature profile in the oven during bake. How do you know that it is not maintaining the temperature?

It takes the same amount of time to get to 350-375 but once I set the timer for the desired dish, after 10-15 you do not hear the oven starting again, and if I forget to check the timer will end and the oven is warm only and the dish is not done. Higher temps, like past 425 seam to work better and maintain. If I finish a job and turn oven off, but want to start a new one within an hour, it will not heat up at all; you can hear it trying to start, but nothing happens.

If this is a gas unit then I would start a new post with the model number included.
I do not give suggestions on gas units. I just do not have the experience. If it is an electrical unit then I still need a model number.
