My glass top range all of a sudden has stopped heating up. The other day I thought I smelled a little plastic smoke while using the stove top. Not much smoke/smell, but I was suspicious. The stove worked fine for a couple more uses but stopped heating during use yesterday. No error codes on the EOC. Everything looks normal but the only thing that still heats is the back center warming unit and possibly the bottom heating drawer. The oven does not work either, although the convection fan runs fine. I removed the EOC (I took it out of the plastic housing) and inspected it for obvious signs of failed components but found none.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for Frigidaire PLES389DCC Frigidaire/electric Range | AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is the wiring diagram.
http://manuals.frigidaire.com/p...assomption/318045095.pdf

As you can see from the diagram the stove top elements and the oven elements are basically separate so odds are you have a problem with the 240 volts that is required to run them. Other parts in the unit run off of half the line (120 volts).

Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker.
If this does nothing, check the voltage at the plug
L1 to L2 should be 240 volts
L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts.
If OK
Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out
If OK
Check the power at the terminal strip.

Even if flipping the breaker works I would try to find caused the burning plastic smell. I would start by inspecting the line cord and then the terminal strip in the unit. Could even be the wall receptacle.
