oven not working. I replaced the igniter (which was def faulty due to the wire harness having been melted) and it still doesnt light. The broiler lights and seems to be fine. I pulled the new oven igniter and plugged it into the broilers wiring harness and it lit up, so it seems ok. i tested the voltage at the valve and with the broiler on the valve tests 3.0 volts when i test the oven side of the valve it reads 120.0 v what gives

Should i be getting the same 3.6 vac on the oven valve and not 120vac? it seems there is no power getting to oven igniter after oven gas valve. If the oven gas valve is bad can i replace just that or do i have to get the whole broiler and oven valves together? Thanks for your time and help.

Hi.
Have you checked the continuity of the bake gas valve?
If the valve tests OK trace the wires and check the ignitor connector. Do you have 120VAC to the ignitor's disconnect plug?
Simon.
