I have a Whirlpool Super Capacity 465 glass-top electric range (I think the model # is RF341BXHW0), and the left front (largest) burner is malfunctioning. For a few weeks it heated erratically - cooler or hotter than the dial setting - and then it just stopped working altogether. Do you think this problem is caused by a bad infinite switch or a bad burner element? Is there any way to test those without specialized equipment?

Thanks in advance for any advice!
