I have this kitchenaid gas range model KGRS 807 SSS00 and the oven stopped working. We called in a repair man and he said the electronic contorl needs replacing. I just replaced the part number 9762794. when turning on the oven it will very slowly heat up to about 240 after 30-40 minutes. When i look inside the oven I see a electronic element that is red hot located at the top indside the oven. I assume that there is a gas portion that is not working and thats why it taking so long to heat up and not going past 240. Can someone please direct me in what could be wrong with this stove. Thanks Paul

Hi Paul, Quote: ...When i look inside the oven I see a electronic element that is red hot located at the top indside the oven... The information you posted is confusing because by the model number you provided this oven has Direct Spark ignition instead of regular glow bar igniters. That means you have to hear a clicking sound when the oven ignites. Can you provide more detailed description on the problem please? Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for Whirlpool KGRS807SSS00 30" Freestanding GAS OVEN CONVECTION | AppliancePartsPros.comGene.

Thanks for your quick response. I don't know too much about this stove but that model number is correct and it basically doesn't heat up past 240 degrees and it takes about 30-40 min. However when I do try to use the broil feature I hear a clicking noise twice but it still doesn't heat up. Thanks

You have to have a simple multimeter to perform a few tests. Let me know when you will be ready.

I have the same issue. My kitchenaid KGRS807SSS00 stove works fine, but the oven wont heat past 200 and that is after 30 minutes or more. I don't see flames when it is set to broil, but the heating element at the top does get red.
I have a simple multimeter. Can you please help me diagnose my issue?

There is a knob for bake and broil for the regular oven and a separate one for convection. The flame never comes on. I hear 2 loud clicks when I turn the oven on in any mode, but I don't hear the gas. Also, the self-clean mde does not work. The oven does not get hot at all. Thank you for your quick reply.
