Slow to ignite burner, the POOF!

Model Number: MOR5730BDW Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a maytag MOR5730BDW that is slow to ignite, so the gas comes out and then when it does ignite it flares up momentarily.

Hi.

If the correct model number is MGR5730BDW you should check the oven ignitor's amps draw.
If it's less then 3.2 amp - replace the ignitor. Check if the burner pilot lights are not blocked and the burner ignites evenly.
