So my wife dropped a hot sauce bottle on the ceramic stove, and when I used it a couple hours later, the sucker broke. That element is no longer usable, but it is the largest and most effective one. Great - especially now I'm on a diet AND a budget, cooking 95% of our meals at home.

So the cooktop is NLA from Frigidaire. Is there ANY chance of getting a generic ceramic unit put into the original frame? I'm a mechanic and very resourceful, just broke, trying to save $$ instead of replacing this POS range. I hate electric, love to cook, can't afford to convert to gas (no gas in the neighborhood!), and have too many other things I have to spend money on instead of some crappy new electric range.
