I have a Jenn-Air oven model JGR8875QDS. First, it started to beep and would enter "Cook and Hold" mode by itself. The oven was not in use at the time. When it enters this mode none of the buttons work except for "Cancel" which beeps when pressed and returns you to the time of day clock but still none of the other buttons work. Pressing "Cancel" and "Cook and Hold" at the same time will restore functionality to ALL buttons on the keypad. At this point, you can even turn the oven on & set the temperature. The oven will begin to heat but within a few minutes it will flash 00:00 HOLD again (Cook and HOLD mode) and eventually (within a couple minutes) the oven will turn off and you will be back to the time of day clock.
I tried replacing the clock control unit but the problem is still the same.
Any ideas?
It would seem odd if the issue is the touchpad itself since pressing "Cancel" and "Cook and Hold" restores the buttons functionality temporarily.
Is it possible that the replacement clock control I received is also faulty?
