My oven comes on but does not bake properly. It was taking twice as long to bake something. I ordered a new broiler element because when I turned on the oven and touched both elements, the upper element was cold. My husband replaced it and when he put his volt meter on the old element, it had juice so he said that is not the problem. Since the new element has been in, it is not hardly baking at all. I just tried to bake biscuits and they did not rise nor turn brown. I took them out because they looked raw. The oven comes on but it is not holding the proper temperature. When I select bake and 400, the beeper comes on almost instantly. I know it is not ready yet. A few months ago, I ordered a new element for one of my stove burner (right front) because it went out. Now I am having problems with the oven. What else can my husband try? My stove/oven is about 12 years old. I hope I don't have to replace it just yet. I use my oven a lot and would like to know what else to try.

Since the unit thinks it is ready whern it is not it could be a oven sensor (Item 253 in Section 5).
