Thank you so much for the article How to Check Continuity with a Ohmmeter. I have had a hard time finding a book that is able to guide a beginner on the proper use of an Ohmmeter, and appreciate the information.

Problem is what to set the meter on...everything I read says rx1...the meter I have does not have a Rx1...under the OHM's dail it has X1k and X10...Help???...which do I use??..
And, what parts should I check??..thermostat, thermal cut off, thermal fuse??...am I on the right track here..
Thanks so much for your help...

Hi George,

Set the meter range to the X10 scale. You have to check a few parts as listed in one of our previous posts: dryer willnotheat & timer wont turn off

The reference numbers can be different, but here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL LER4634EQ2 | AppliancePartsPros.com, the model number you posted.

Gene.

Can you be more specific on the problem?

What is the complete model number of the oven?

Gene.
