When I set the oven temp to 350 or any temp for that matter, it over heats and burns up the food. Could it be the thermostat?

I generally set the oven to 350 degrees. It is over heating and burning food. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Hi.

The oven temperature is controlled by the sensor and control board.
Check the sensor's resistance. At room temperature the resistance should be 1 - 1.1 kohm.
If it's different - replace the sensor Part number: 12001656
Part number: 12001656

It's better be the sensor - the control board is no longer available.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for Maytag CWE6830ACB WALLOVEN- S/C ELE | AppliancePartsPros.com

Thank you.

Simon.
