Model Number: KEBI200VBL Brand: Kitchen Aid Age: More than 10 years
I have a built in Kitchen Aid double oven which seems to be working ok.
the issue is that from time to time the control which is in the area of the clock starts clicking excessively. We can go days hearing nothing and then all of a sudden it will start clicking and will continue for hours. I have gone on a number of websites to try and identify the part which is clicking. Since I do not have a parts breakdown I have relied on the web for this info. When I identify the part off the cut sheet it tells me that it is P/N PS356717 and that it is now discontinued. Some of the sites list the other manufacturers that use this part. My concern is whether I have identified the correct part. Is is possible that this symptom is the result of possibly a bad thermouple or other control that would signal this control to activate, and that while I hear the relay internal to the control itself but is in fact not the culprit. Possibly it is another defective item within the heating circuit that is causing the clicking and that part is available. If anyone could shed some light on this it would be appreciated. Hi.
Only you can determine for sure where the clicking noise is coming from. Next time when it clicks open the control panel and identify the source of the noise. Most likely it's the control board's relay. I came up with part number 4173384 and unfortunately it's no longer available. Thank you. Simon.
