Model Number: JGBS23SEH5SS Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
My oven does not turn off. I had to unplug it to get it to turn off when I plug it in same thing its still on. Now I'm not sure if it is the ignitor or the valve assembly, or am I completely wrong and its some thing else some one please help.

Hi.
Check if the oven thermostat knob is not stripped or broken inside. if the knob is OK than most likely there is a bad oven thermostat. You can check it for continuity in off position. If there is continuity - replace the thermostat.Do not forget to unplug the range.
