So the control panel on the oven went out and needs replaced. (Includes the clock, timer, AND oven control knob.) The original part no. was WB27K10048 which (looks like) has been discontinued and replaced with WB27K10141. Not a problem ... so I'll get the new one.

But ... what about the overlay/touchpad? Does the new control module also need a new touchpad thingy? Again, I've found two numbers: WB27K10001 corresponds with the 'old' control part no. and WB27K10063 corresponds with the new controller I need to get. My question is - will the new controller work with my 'old' touchpad?
In addition, the 'old' touchpad is white (which is the color of my range) but I can only find the 'new' one in black (yuck). Second question - if I absolutely must get the 'new' touchpad, does it come in white?

Most likely - yes. In most cases it's hard to remove old one without damage to it.

It should because the new control board is direct replacement part, designed by the same manufacturer.

Yes, it still does. At least I did not find any different information. The only problem is that it is on back order.
