Question Maytag oven won't bake
Model Number: MGR 4451 BDW   Brand: Maytag   Age: 1 - 5 years

Hello,

Maytag oven model# MGR 4451 BDW doesn't bake.

Top burners and all else works OK.

Igniter looks burnt, and basically fell apart when I tried to unscrew it.

Any ideas besides igniter?

Thank you!

Correction:

I meant the "Short Oven Sensor Kit" fell apart when I unscrewed it.

Any ideas besides replacing it?

Thank you !!!

The oven temperature sensor has to be replaced first before we can proceed with further diagnosis.

- The part number for the oven temperature sensor is AP204835

Default Amanna Gas range oven heating problems/

Amanna Model ARG7600WW P1143333NWW.
Cleaned the unit and all went fine this is the last time the oven worked prior.
Broiler works fine and lites off .Canceled the operation.
Cleaning feature works fine an lites off. Canceled the operation.
Stove top functions fine.

Remedies I have tried per a repair man.
Replaced the electronic module, oven does not function.
Because the unit did not bake at the required temp I needed to add 5-10 degrees to the temp setting, I also replaced the temp probe at the same time.

I cannot find a in line fuse nor any other part that has anything to do with the baking cycle. There are no burnt off wires at the terminals.
This repair advice i received has cost over $200.00 and still no oven to bake in. If anyone out there can shed some light what I need to do it would be appreciated to get this oven functioning.
Thank you ,Don
